2026 Angus bull sale

Yerwal Estate is a family owned and operated livestock company situated in the heart of the
South East, South Australia between Naracoorte and Lucindale. This year we are offering
55 HBR Angus industry focused bulls that come from generations of proven maternal
genetics with hard selection pressure to ensure sound feet, fertility, and phenotype are
balanced with good data sets. All bulls in our sale draft will have genomics and sire
verification; this enables our clients to be guaranteed high accuracy of EBV’s ensuring their
bull selections meet their market targets.
Our Angus program is focussed on producing sound cattle from proven and strong cow
families layered through generations of their pedigree. We select sires backed by strong
proven cow families that consistently breed strong performing progeny time after time
with longevity bred in them. We believe this is less likely to produce a shot gun effect and
enable us to have a higher retention rate that come sale time or selecting heifers to retain
in herd for breeding. We continue to invest in walking sires that stack up on paper and in
the paddock. Recent Angus walking stud sire additions include; Landfall Lorenzo S1834,
Landfall Rhynie U1913 and Landfall Lorenzo U2093.

These traits in our females enable us to produce robust cows that can wean heavy calves
year in year out keeping ours and your enterprise profitable.
Our sale bulls this year range from 17-24 months of age and mostly run as one contemporary
group (only exception being to prevent injuries due to fighting, after all boys will be boys)
since weaning. All bulls are familiar with utes, motor bikes and dogs. Our property has
sandy loam soils that make feet a big focus. Raw carcase scan data and weights will be
included in the supplementary sheet. This year you will see a large portion of the draft
sired by Landfall Lorenzo S1834. He has 29 sons in this year’s sale with an average birth
to 600 day growth of +4.3 to +134, EMA +9.9, positive fats, IMF +4.7 with an exceptional
docility of +23. It gets better ranking in the top 1% for claw set, top 9% for foot angle and
top 13% for leg angle you will struggle to find any better footed bull with exceptional data
and natural muscle. AI sires include Poss Deadwood, Woodhill Comstock and walking sires
include Texas Quinella Q711, Alkira Renegade R11 and Yerwal Wisdom P264.
This year a selection of Black Simmentals and SimAngus will be available on a first in first
served basis on the field day and sale day. Our Black Simmental and SimAngus program
provides our clients opportunities to secure bulls to inject hybrid vigour into their herd.
We have full flush brothers out of our leading black Simmental donor J059 and bulls sired
by Hart State of War and Woonallee Southend.
All sale bulls have been tick blooded, 7 in 1, vaccinated for IBR, Vibrovaxed and Pestivirus.
Our sale drafts have been selected to ensure only functional bulls that can last the distance
make the draft.
