Yerwal Estate Simmental & Angus Stud

This year marks our 23rd on farm bull sale with our Angus, Black Simmental and SimAngus bulls. All bulls have been tick blooded, 7 in 1, vaccinated for IBR, Vibrovaxed and Pestivirus. Both our line ups have exciting pedigrees throughout the catalogue to offer a range of heifer and cow mating suitable sires. Our sale drafts have been selected to ensure only functional bulls that can last the distance make the draft.

We have selected 60 industry focused bulls that come from generations of proven maternal backgrounds with hard selection pressure to ensure sound feet, fertility, and phenotype are balanced with good data sets. The group of bulls include HBR Angus, Black Simmental and SimAngus sires that will all have genomics and sire verification.

Our Angus sale bulls combine progeny from both AI and walking sires. Our AI Angus sires include bulls by; Poss Deadwood, Eyes On You, Stirling Pacific, Man In Black, Full House. Walking sires are made up of Alkira Renegade R11, Texas Quinella Q711, Maryvale Radical R104 and Yerwal Estate Wisdom P264 and are breeding extremely balanced bulls.

Our Angus program is focussed on producing sound cattle from proven and strong cow families layered through generations of their pedigree. We select sires backed by strong proven cow families that consistently breed strong performing progeny time after time with longevity bred in them. We believe this is less likely to produce a shot gun effect and enable us to have a higher retention rate that come sale time or selecting heifers to retain in herd for breeding.
